Isager Silk Mohair

  • A beautiful soft, shiny yarn with its classic blend of silk with mohair.

This yarn has a light, fluffy structure and is especially suited for knitting together with other yarns.

We've always loved our results when we've paired it with other natural fibres. But it also works really well on its own for simple scarves and small projects, or held double or triple!

More info on Isager combinations and gauges here.

    Spun and dyed in Italy.

  • Ingredients:
    75% super kid mohair
    25% silk

    Length:
    212m (232 yds)

    Weight:
    25g

    Gauge:
    Lace
    Individually: 3, 4 or 5mm (US 4 - 6)

Silk Mohair and Spinni held together: 4 – 6 mm needles

Silk Mohair and Highland or Tvinni held together: 4 – 7 mm needles

Silk Mohair and Isager Tweed held together: 4 – 7 mm needles

  • ISAGER YARNS

Renowned for classic yarns made from natural fibres, well suited for knitting, crochet, weaving and embroidery.

All the wool qualities are ideal for felting and for dyeing with plant dyes.

It is important to us that our yarns are produced with the greatest amount of care taken to both animals and humans.

Yarns bearing the same numbers can replace each other and a number 1 yarn combined with a number 2 yarn can be worked together to make a yarn equivalent to a number 3 yarn.
Yarns marked with * are suitable for machine knitting.

    THE COLOUR RANGE

Carefully created so the colours work well together both within and across the qualities. We rarely change the colours, as the range primarily consists of BASIC COLOURS, amongst which contemporary colours can always be found.

The colours and qualities of our finer yarns can be mixed to create unique pieces.

As a rule, single ply, densely spun yarns should not be used individually for working in the round, as they may pull the finished work. When worked together with other qualities this problem is avoided.
